     By the power vested in me by the Commonwealth of Virginia and the grace of God I can marry you, in a style befitting you two.  Representing civil, legal and spiritual authority, and age-old traditions, a wedding officiant transforms two people into one couple.  An eloquent, empathetic celebrant gives voice to all that you are, and all the two of you aspire to be.  

     Decades of serving as a writing professor at the University of Virginia and creating and capturing Charlottesville weddings with my wife tells me there is no love story like yours.  I offer sweetly spiritual and nondenominational ceremonies with vows reflecting your shared values and backgrounds, leavened with the best of all that has brought you two together. I believe in your right to be who you are and marry who you love, in front of God and everybody.

     I bring crystal clear portable sound to your wedding, with wireless lavalier and handheld microphones amplifying ceremony music and vows on a mountaintop or field of green far from a power plug.  I ask seven hundred dollars to author a ceremony based on our consultations, direct your rehearsal and stand before you on your wedding day.  Officiating services can be included in our photography, Dee Jay and videograph packages, empowering a loved one to officiate your wedding without going to the courthouse.  At the altar of a mountain chapel, a gazebo at a winery, an arbor on a hilltop or any place made sacred by your love and vows I am honored to put you on the road to a lasting marriage.
